Experience the Holidays
Visit a Christmas Tree Farm– Take the whole family to pick out and cut down the tree. Then take it home and decorate it while listening to Christmas music.
Attend a Christmas Parade- What fun to watch a parade in the cold! Make sure to bundle up and take some hot cocoa with you.
Go Caroling-Contact some local nursing homes and see if they would let you come sing to the residents there. Make some ornaments to give to the older folks there. They will love it!
Take a Sleigh Ride-If you live where there happens to be snow on the ground, locate someone who offers sleigh rides. Take some jingle bells with you and your kids will never stop talking about it!
Go on a Christmas Light Tour-Drive around town after dark looking at the different holiday decorations and lights. Our family loves doing this each year. It’s amazing to see how people celebrate the holidays!
Attend the Nutcracker Ballet- This is a fun outing for older children that exposes them to culture and theater. There is bound to be a production somewhere near you.
Donate Toys- Donate gently used toys to Goodwill or Salvation Army. Or, teach your children how to be charitable and encourage them to use some of their own money to buy new toys to donate to a local toy drive.
Create and Craft

Write letters to Santa- Help your kids write letters to Santa and address the envelope. Make a quick trip to the mailbox together to make sure the letters get mailed and arrive at the North Pole in plenty of time!

Decorate your house for the holidays-Use the ornaments, stockings and wreaths you made with your kids to decorate the inside and outside of your house.
Decorate the tree- Gather the ornaments and lights. Then turn on the Christmas music and get in the holiday mood as you have fun as a family decorating the tree together.
